RAYMOND, Alberta – American Creek Resources Ltd. (the “ Corporation& rdquo;) announces that Darcy Heggie has resigned as a Director of the Corporation and that John Harvey has been appointed a Director of the Corporation. Mr. Harvey has been active in the mining industry for the past 35 years. He was associated with The Hughes Lang Group, a group of mineral exploration companies, two of which ultimately became Hemlo Gold Mines Ltd., and has served in various capacities including Vice-President of Aurizon Mines Ltd. Mr. Harvey is a life-time member of the Association of Mineral Exploration. His appointment is subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange (the “Exchange”).

With his extensive knowledge and contacts in the mining industry, he will be a great addition to the Board”, stated Allan Burton, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. “We would also like to thank Mr. Heggie for his significant contribution to our company over the last couple of years, and wish him all the best in his other business affairs.”
The Corporation also announces that subject to regulatory approval, it has granted stock options pursuant to its incentive stock option plan to directors, officers, employees and consultants of the Corporation to acquire an aggregate of 3,100,000 common shares of the Corporation (“Common Shares”) at an exercise price of $0.80 per Common Share. Of these, stock options to acquire an aggregate of 2,550,000 Common Shares were granted to directors and officers of the Corporation.

Further, subject to regulatory approval, the Corporation has approved the issuance of an aggregate of 50,000 Common Shares at a deemed price of $0.80 per Common Share in payment of a bonus to an employee of the Corporation.

American Creek Resources Ltd. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of gold and silver deposits, with properties in the Province of British Columbia. The Corporation is currently conducting a Phase 1 exploration program on the Electrum Property, situated near Stewart, British Columbia.

The TSX Venture Exchange has notified the Corporation that its Common Shares will commence trading at the opening on September 6, 2006 under the stock symbol “AMK”.
